Top Two Types of Hair Extensions

1. Hand-Tied Extensions

Hand Tied extensions are similar to beaded wefts – they covered a larger amount of surface area on your head. The thin, longer-length extensions allow for the closest to scalp spacing – giving a smooth, no-show look.

Hand-tied extensions are lightweight on the scalp, to avoid extra weight and pulling on your scalp.

After your initial installation, you can expect to wear the extensions for about 6-8 months. You’ll just want to head back to the salon every 6-10 weeks to get the extensions moved up, just depending on how fast your hair grows.

2. I-Tip Extensions

I-Tip extensions are individual-stranded hair extensions attached to a section of natural hair with a small flattened bead.

I-tips are considered to be glue-less, thread-less, and heat-less extensions. Installation & move-ups are a quick process. I-tips are an excellent option since they give easy access to your scalp.

I-tips are the perfect option if you’re looking for an easy option to maintain and install.

After your initial installation, you can expect to wear the extensions for about 6-9 months. You’ll just want to head back to the salon every 8-12 weeks to get the extensions moved up, just depending on how fast your hair grows.
